Our Motivation

The advancement of ICT infrastructure and application has created immense opportunities in regard to economic growth and development. This is a great opportunity for Kenya and the developing world to tap on the potential that comes along with the growth and development being experienced in the ICT industry. We as a country and as an organization do acknowledge the importance of ICT as an enabler for growth and development that could benefit both developed and developing countries. We also acknowledge the government for establishment of ICT Development Agenda for the country.

The rapid ICT development in the country has brought about the need to develop manpower resource that will utilize the growth and expansion in the ICT sector and especially the arrival of high speed internet through fiber Optic cable. However there is a great need of developing a well trained and informed manpower.

Craft Silicon foundation has initiated Mobile ICT Resource centers that will act as both training and ICT service points for the community. The Mobile ICT resource centre is a concept that envisages the idea of a digital Village, where ICT infrastructure and development are brought closer to the community as we get to open up all parts of the country and make them part of the digital village.
